The Quranic context and its impacts on meanings

Abstract

In order to convey meanings and connotation to others, context is as important as words, because without context it is impossible or difficult to understand the words correctly. This academic work discusses Quranic context in detail how the context of the Quran influences the meaning and interpretation of verses. it further explains how the Quranic context helps to give preference to one of the various sayings of the commentators and defines a meaning by prioritizing one of the different readings.The method used for the research is descriptive and qualitative. The review of literature revealed that context of the Quran is most important, because misunderstanding of the context causes mistakes in tafsir. The study also found that Translation and commentary are often erroneous without understanding the context, which is why many great scholars consider it necessary and necessary to understand the Quranic context for commentary. This article seeks to clarify the importance of context and its significance in any word, especially in the Holy Quran and its effects on the meaning of the words, so that those who interpret and read the Quran may know to understand the Book of Allah, it is very important to understand its context. Otherwise, there is a strong possibility of error.The significant changes in the course contents would be helpful to make easy tafsir and commentaries of the Quranic verses. And it will save a reader from various mistakes during translation and tafsir.
