Analytical Study of some Wrong and Invalid Ahādiths of Sahih Muslim Considered by Ibne Hazm

Abstract

It is well known that Sahih Muslim is one famous and prestigious book of Ahādith. The majority of Muslim Ummah has accepted Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim as the bests. The saying and texts of the Islamic scholars are clear evidence of this. Even there is an unavoidable increasing in the number of people who are arguments that there is no invalid and feeble hadith in Sahih Muslim. Although there are some scholars who disapprove of this arguments and criticize it in terms of text and Sanad (chain of narration). One of these Islamic scholars is Ibne Hazm al-Zahari, a famous and renowned scholar who is also criticize some hadiths declaring them invalid and feeble. In this article, we will discuss some hadith of Sahih Muslim which are considered wrong and invalid by Ibne Hazm in sense of their texts and Sanad. This discussion is based on in the light of the sayings, arguments and opinions of the Islamic scholars. To what extent the objections and doubts made by Ibne Hazm are true and factual.
