Abstract

Baba Bulley Shāh (1680-1747) was a mystic Poet who played his role to convert the non-muslims to Islām in subcontinent. He tried to bring the people to follow the right path and awoke them from deep sleep through his poetry. He tried his best to play his active role to shape an ideal society by preparing them to think about the life hereafter. The question arises what the basic philosophy played its role to bring this change in the people. The research has been conducted through studying the poetry of Baba Bulley Shāh (1680-1747) and analyzed what the main reason and strategy was involved in this great contribution. It can be concluded that Baba Bulley Shāh preached the people by conveying the message of Allah about the temporary world through metaphoric examples from this world and gave clear concept of the next life.
