Faiz Ahmad Awaisi,s Contribution to Tafseeri Literature

Abstract

Faiz Ahmad Awaisi (1931_2010) is one of the greatest scholars and writers of Arabic and Islamic literature in Pakistan. He devoted his services to Arabic and Islamic literature and contributed a lot to the literary heritage.  He wrote more than a hundred manuscripts. He is the master of both the fields. This article deals with Faiz Ahmad Awasi,s contribution in Tafseeri literature. Through his modern work like Fazal ue_Mannan and Faiz-ul-Quran in the Translation of Tafseer Rooh_ul_Bayan. He changed the trends in translation and commentary. A deep and critical study of his literary and tafseeri literature shows that the method and style of Faiz Ahmad has its own distinct characteristics.
