Abstract

Ibn Hajar Asqalani's book "Al-Asaba Fi Tameez Al-Sahaba" is a well-known and important work on the life and contributions of the Companions. This book is cited as a source for determining companion status. It's not a stretch to call it an encyclopaedia of the Holy Prophet's associates. Apart from serving as a companion reference book, this book contains the Holy Prophet's Seerah in a thorough and well-organized manner. The book's distinction is not hidden from scientific and research professionals. The lives of the companions were recounted in the book and other comparable writings, as was the biography of the Prophet (peace be upon him), but another component was overlooked.
