A review of Ijtihadi efforts from the time of the Prophet SAAW to the present

Abstract

It is objected to Islamic jurisprudence that there are differences of opinion in Islamic jurisprudence, so it divided the people into different sects and divided the Muslim Ummah. This objection is actually made by those who do not know Islamic jurisprudence. Because the difference of Ijtihadi opinions did not start today, but its history is as old as Islam. In this way, the second objection is that Islamic jurisprudence has become old. Solving new problems is now impossible with Islamic jurisprudence. Because the jurists have become a victim of stagnation۔ The door of Ijhaad has been closed. This objection is also not correct because Ijtahid efforts have been taking place in every era since the time of the Prophet (peace be upon him) until the present age. Which is a proof that the door of ijtihad has not been closed in any era. In some periods, the ijtihad efforts have slowed down, but this journey has never stopped.
