Abstract

ABSTRACT

To bring happiness to human life, it is essential to establish basic ethics within society. If society becomes corrupt, life will deteriorate swiftly. Throughout history, influential thinkers have explored societal structures and their essential components. Notably, the name of Allama Ibn Khaldun stands out. As the 20th century society ventured into the realm of science, it gave rise to numerous questions and concerns, yet even before that, human thoughts had already left their impact.

Maulana Syed Abul Ala Maududi emerges as a brilliant figure of the 20th century, who extensively addressed societal decay and the decline of human life quality. Indeed, his work vividly portrays the suffering inherent in deteriorating societies.

One of Maulana Syed Abu Ala Maududi's significant achievements lies in his comparative analysis of Western and Eastern societies in terms of reformation efforts. He adopted a comprehensive perspective on this matter. Consequently, it became apparent that societal values hold great importance, influencing the transformation brought about by individuals of both positive and negative influence. The subsequent lines emphasize the pivotal role of society after the family unit, underscoring the need to comprehend its fundamental requisites. Such understanding is indispensable for fostering human development within the framework of society.
