Abstract

Divorce is a sad and terrible occurrence in family life, and it is regarded as one of the worst acceptable actions in Islamic jurisprudence. Divorce is one of the most often asked questions in today's world, among many others. These questions may occasionally go unasked, resulting in familial and social issues. The complexity of these concerns is growing as a result of problems including ignorance, hasty decisions, family conflicts, and rights violations.

Islamic law offers thorough instruction on a variety of topics, including divorce. Fiqh literature include comprehensive debates on this subject. The four Imams, scholars, and particularly Syed Abul Ala Maududi, have publicly discussed this issue. Divorce has become a normal and everyday concern in today's society.

Syed Abul Ala Maududi has made a significant contribution to tackling social concerns because of his importance as a leading scholar of the modern age. He had a comprehensive approach to societal issues in general. His style was to express his ideas after weighing numerous viewpoints, and he frequently let the readers make the ultimate decision. As a result, his views were widely known and accepted.

He even balanced society issues with religious practises from other religions at times, offering insight on comparative social viewpoints. This opens the door to discussion on a variety of topics, including divorce in rage, delegated divorce, simultaneous triple divorce, and financial support for divorced women.
