MPhil & PhD Urdu Dissertations of Islamic Studies (1985-2020) from Pakistani Universities on Semitic & Non-Semitic Religions (Combined): An Index & Statistical Analysis

Abstract

In all over the world, scholars carry out statistical review of different theses and research papers in different fields of the study. Due to its significance it was a dire need of time to review and compile the theses and dissertations which are produced from the Pakistani universities in the discipline of comparative religion and religious studies. Owing its huge amount of volume, the data is divided into two major types, Semitic and non-Semitic religions. The current study majorly covers Semitic and Non-Semitic Religions (combined topics). In this study efforts are made to present index and Bibliometric review of the dissertations with its statistical review. Total 245 research theses have been statistically evaluated. The study concludes that a good deal of literature and dissertations is available in Pakistani universities on Semitic and Non-Semitic religions. It is recommended that contents of theses should be analyzed to improve the study of region.
