Abstract

The annunciation of the Holy Prophet Sallallahu Alyhi Wa Salam is a great blessing of Allah upon the believers. The Holy Prophet Sallallahu Alyhi Wa Salam imparted the teachings of the Quran and general wisdom and elaborated the Islamic commandments. Along with him and after his demise, his devoted companions disseminated the Islamic teachings, and particularly his wives, who are titled Mother of the Believers, brought to light, for the sake of educating, such aspects of their marital life which were previously not known. The Mother of the Believers were superior to the Companions in that their house was the place where the divine revelation used to descend. They would guide women about their personal matters and domestic affairs and take their queries to the Holy Prophet Sallallahu Alyhi Wa Salam. Hence, lessons extracted from the biographies of the wives of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.S) is a very vital aspect of the Islamic knowledge. The following article explains the wisdom and benefits of the marriages of the Holy Prophet Sallallahu Alyhi Wa Salam from the political and economic aspects.
