Abstract

An epidemic is the rapid spread of disease to many people in each population within a short period of time. Keeping a distance from each other during an epidemic is essential to prevent the spread of the epidemic. Islam teaches us to take precautions during epidemics to protect the health and lives of ourselves and others. Especially epidemics for which no cure has yet been discovered, experts are of the opinion that maximum precautionary measures should be taken against them. Social distance should be maintained to protect against infectious diseases that are spread by contact with each other. These are the teachings of Islam and this is also the decision of the Islamic scholars. Therefore, Muslims should take maximum precautionary measures during the epidemic according to Islamic teachings and keep a distance from each other.
