Abstract

Dimmi is a non-Muslim minority living in Islamic state and adheres to the terms and conditions set by the muslim state for non muslim monorities. Muslim Jurists are unanimous about the respect and dignity of religious sanctities. However, there is difference of opinion about the nature of punishment and conditions for punishment of a Dhimmi who shows disrespect towards things and persons comes under religious sanctities. There is need of a comparative analysis of these opinions of muslim Jurists.This research is a comparative analysis of the opinions of Muslim Jurists about a non mulim minority who commits blasphamey and involves in Insulting religious beliefs and sanctities. This article proceeds with an introduction of Dhimmi and religious sacntities. In second part the opiniouns of muslim Jurist about the punishment of non muslim minority for blasphemy have been discussed and compared. The last part consists of some important conclusion.
