The value of Talfique in Ijtihād and the need for it in modern era

Abstract

Adopting different parts of one issue in one chapter or adopting of different opinions of Islamic Jurists in different issues of different chapters called TALFĪQUE. In modern times, science and technology have changed all aspects of human life. Especially the complexities are arising in International laws, commercial laws, individual matters and Islamic financial institutes. It is not only difficult but impossible to solve the entire complexities of financial and other matters, and to adopt in the compliance of one school of thoughts. Therefore in order to solve these different problems it is necessary resort TALFĪQUE (Combination) of views of different schools of thoughts. Because the Islamic jurists have eliminated the matters according to the circumstances of their time, now in the modern age keep in view the same principle to how that can be applied to current issues. But what is the origin of this type of Ijtihad and what is the limitation for it. This article will discuss on this issues.
