About BISE Faisalabad

The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Faisalabad, was established in 1988 as an autonomous body responsible for conducting matric and intermediate examinations across its jurisdiction. It is one of the larger Punjab boards by candidate volume, second only to Lahore, which means its result portal and SMS gateway both see heavy traffic in the minutes after the announcement.

BISE Faisalabad conducts the SSC Part 1 examination for four districts: Faisalabad, Jhang, Chiniot, and Toba Tek Singh. If your school is registered in any of these districts, this is your board — you do not need to check any other board's portal.

Result date and time

Punjab's nine boards, including Faisalabad, announce the SSC Part 1 annual result on the same date and hour every year, coordinated by the Punjab Boards Committee of Chairmen (PBCC) so that no district gets an advantage. For 2026, that date is 2 September, 10:00 AM Pakistan Standard Time. The 9th class annual examinations themselves were held earlier in the year, starting in March 2026.

How to check your BISE Faisalabad 9th class result

1. By roll number, on the official website

2. Open the Results section and select SSC Part 1 Annual 2026.
3. Enter your roll number exactly as printed on your admit slip — no spaces, dashes, or extra characters.
4. Submit to view your subject-wise marks sheet on screen.
5. Screenshot the result or download the DMC/PDF if the site offers one, since detailed results don't always stay easily accessible for long after announcement.

2. By name (if you don't have your roll number)

If your roll number slip is lost, BISE Faisalabad's result portal usually also allows a search by candidate name and father's name. Enter both exactly as they were written on your original admission form — schools sometimes register names differently from how a family normally writes them, and even a small spelling difference will return no result.

3. By SMS — works without internet

Type your roll number and send it as a plain text message to 800240. You'll get a reply with your total marks and grade within roughly 30 to 90 seconds under normal conditions — longer in the first hour after announcement when the network is busiest. This method doesn't give subject-wise marks, only the total, so use it as a quick check rather than a replacement for the website.

4. Through the result gazette PDF

BISE Faisalabad publishes a full result gazette — a PDF listing every candidate's roll number, name and marks — usually within an hour or so of the official announcement, in the Results or Downloads section of the website. This is the most reliable fallback when the main result-lookup page is overloaded with traffic, and it's what schools typically use to check an entire class at once. Open it in any PDF reader and use Ctrl+F (or your phone's Find function) to search for your name or roll number directly.

What your marks sheet will show

SSC Part 1 is marked out of 550 across eight subjects — English, Urdu, Islamiyat, Pakistan Studies, Mathematics, and the science group (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Computer Science, depending on your stream). Science subjects combine a theory paper and a practical component into one final mark per subject.

Passing criteria for Punjab boards have been in transition this year: the traditional standard has been 33% per subject, while the newer IBCC grading policy raises that minimum to 40%. Faisalabad's own 2026 notification and the remarks printed on your specific result card are the only reliable source for which threshold applies to you — don't assume either figure without checking your own certificate.

If something looks wrong

"Record not found" for a correct roll number

This is usually one of three things: the board's database is still syncing in the first few minutes after announcement (try again in fifteen minutes), you've selected the wrong examination (Part 2 instead of Part 1, for instance), or you appeared as a private candidate and need the private-candidates results list instead. If none of that explains it after an hour, contact the board's result enquiry desk directly.

Rechecking

If your marks look wrong for a specific subject, BISE Faisalabad opens a rechecking window on result day, typically open for 15 to 30 days, with a fee charged per subject. After the result

Your 9th class marks are combined with your 10th class (SSC Part 2) result — out of another 550 — to produce your final matric certificate out of 1100.
