About BISE DG Khan

The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dera Ghazi Khan was carved out of BISE Multan and began functioning independently on 4 January 1989, under what was then the West Pakistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (DG Khan) Ordinance. It now operates under the Punjab Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education Act, 1976, headquartered at Chowk Sarwar Wali in Dera Ghazi Khan city.

Like other Punjab boards, DG Khan receives no government grant and funds its own operations entirely through examination and registration fees. It's a smaller board by candidate numbers than Lahore or Faisalabad, but it has produced strong results — its 10th class result announced on 6 August 2026 posted the highest pass rate of any Punjab board that year, at 77.86%.

BISE DG Khan conducts the SSC Part 1 exam for four districts: Dera Ghazi Khan, Layyah, Muzaffargarh, and Rajanpur — a geographically spread-out jurisdiction that includes riverine areas along the Indus.

Result date and time

All nine Punjab boards, DG Khan included, announce the SSC Part 1 annual result on the same date and hour, set jointly by the Punjab Boards Committee of Chairmen (PBCC). For 2026, that's 2 September, 10:00 AM Pakistan Standard Time. The 9th class annual exams themselves were held in March, in line with the board's usual schedule.

How to check your DG Khan board 9th class result

1. By roll number, on the official website

1. Go to bisedgkhan.edu.pk, the board's official website.
2. Open the Results section and choose SSC Part 1 Annual 2026.
3. Type your roll number exactly as printed on your admit slip — no spaces or extra characters.
4. Submit to see your full subject-wise marks sheet.
5. Save a screenshot or download the DMC/PDF while it's readily available.

2. By name

If you don't have your roll number handy, the site's name-search option needs your name and father's name exactly as recorded on your admission form. Small spelling differences — a missing letter, a different transliteration — will return no match, so type carefully.

3. By SMS

Send your roll number as a plain text message to 800295. You'll receive your total marks and grade by reply within about 30 to 90 seconds normally, longer during the first busy hour. This gives you the total only, not a subject breakdown.

4. Through the gazette PDF

BISE DG Khan publishes a result gazette listing every candidate's roll number, name, and marks, usually within an hour or so of the announcement. It's the most dependable option when the main result page is under heavy load, and schools rely on it to check students in bulk. Search it with Ctrl+F once downloaded.

What your marks sheet will show

SSC Part 1 is out of 550 total marks across eight subjects — English, Urdu, Islamiyat, Pakistan Studies, Mathematics, and your elective science or arts subjects. As with other Punjab boards, the pass threshold has been in transition this year between the traditional 33% per subject and the newer IBCC minimum of 40%; check the remarks column on your own result card for the figure that applies to you.

If something looks wrong

"Record not found"

Usually one of: the database still syncing right after announcement (wait fifteen minutes and retry), the wrong examination selected (Part 2 instead of Part 1), or a private-candidate registration that needs the separate private-candidates list. Contact the board directly if none of these apply after an hour.

Rechecking
