About BISE Lahore

BISE Lahore traces back to 1954, when the Punjab University Act (Amendment) Ordinance created the Board of Secondary Education, Punjab, taking over examination control that had previously sat with the University of the Punjab. The first-ever matric and intermediate examinations under the new board were held in 1955, making BISE Lahore the oldest board of its kind in the country.

At its founding, BISE Lahore's jurisdiction stretched across the whole of Punjab, Balochistan, Azad Kashmir, and the Northern Areas — it even ran examination centres for overseas candidates in Kuwait and Nairobi. As candidate numbers grew, separate boards were carved out at Multan and Sargodha in 1968, and later at Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, and others, narrowing Lahore's jurisdiction to its present four districts. Its head office remains on Mozang Road, Lahore.

Today BISE Lahore covers Lahore, Kasur, Sheikhupura, and Nankana Sahib — and because Lahore district alone has one of the largest student populations in Punjab, this board handles more candidates than any other, which is exactly why its website and SMS gateway both see the heaviest load in the country on result morning.

Result date and time

Along with the other eight Punjab boards, BISE Lahore announces the SSC Part 1 annual result on a date and time set jointly by the Punjab Boards Committee of Chairmen (PBCC), so no board publishes early. For 2026, that's 2 September at 10:00 AM Pakistan Standard Time.

3. Enter your roll number exactly as printed on your admit slip — digits only, no spaces or dashes.
4. Submit to view your subject-wise marks sheet instantly.
5. Screenshot or download the result while the page is accessible, since high-traffic days can make the portal intermittently slow later on.

By name

If your roll number slip isn't available, use the name-search option with your full name and father's name exactly as they appear on your admission form. Given how many candidates share common names in a board this size, an exact match matters more here than on smaller boards.

By SMS

Send your roll number as plain text to 800291. Given Lahore's traffic volume, the SMS gateway is often the more reliable option on result morning — expect your reply within 30 to 90 seconds under normal load, though this can stretch longer in the first hour.

Through the gazette PDF

BISE Lahore publishes a full result gazette shortly after the announcement, listing every candidate's roll number, name, and marks. On a board this large, the gazette is often the fastest way to check a whole class or school at once — download it and search by name with Ctrl+F.

What your marks sheet will show

SSC Part 1 is marked out of 550 across eight subjects. As with other Punjab boards this year, the minimum pass threshold has been shifting from the traditional 33% to the newer IBCC standard of 40% — check the remarks printed on your own result card for the figure that applies to your certificate.

If your result doesn't load

"Record not found"

On a high-traffic board like Lahore, this most often means the database is still catching up in the first few minutes — wait fifteen minutes and try again. Also double-check you've selected SSC Part 1, not Part 2, and that you're not a private candidate needing the separate private-candidates search.
