Abstract

The Holy Quran was revealed in the spoken language of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the dialect of the Quraysh known as “Classical Arabic” and it has been used in the poetry since earlier than Muhammad (PBUH)’s day. It is interesting to note that poetry of the Pre-Islamic was the Register of the Arabs. It has been suggested by Abdullah bin Abbas (R.A.), a prominent companion of the Prophet (PBUH) that when any word or sense of the Holy Quran does not come to understanding then one should search for it in the ancient Arabic poetry[i]. I have divided my topic in two sub-chapters. First chapter deals with the language of the Holy Quran and the 2nd  sub-chapter will focus on the linguistic influence and outcomes of the Holy Quran which is sub- divided in five more parts like; morphology, syntax, Quranic Phonetics and Rhetoric and bibliography.
